MIND CHATTER, HEAD CLATTER
10 Sept: feeling overwhelmed about getting the damn University Classes sorted out!!! The students have a right to good material. With a change in Educational Platforms, and the migration of the old classes to the new platform there are big glitches. Very tiring and time consuming…
Then spending more bucks on the office ANGER-ONLINE website and not sure if it will EVER work… is frustrating ….but???
others seem to have better luck than I do…
very very emotional…. wanting to sit and shed some tears… Twin Towers, 9-11… oh my…
yes, Sunday is 9-11, and I miss MUFF, my mother in law, but a healthy Mother to me with a capital M, not a warm mom, but an honest forthright mother, something my own mother was not. Muff and I shared much over the last 20 years … AND when 9-11 happened, we cried together on the phone, across 300o miles, she was in NJ worried about some friends she hadnt heard from yet who worked there, and of course had seen the smoke in the sky… So 3 weeks later I was on a United flight to NYC to spend a few days with Muff and NYC… to visit “our city”… no neither one of us LOVED the damn place but rather appreciated it like a special family member who contributed a LOT to our lives in spite of it being dirty, crowded, expensive and many bad things…. and we needed to pay our respects and just quietly give our support. We got to park right ‘there’ at the site with the blessings of a NYPD cop, and we walked for 3 or 4 cold hours as the sun was setting, looking at the mass destruction, smelling the ‘crematory’ smell since the place was smoldering and still hot, and thousands of bodies lay in the rubble… looking into the stores that had their windows blasted open (one shoe store was totally eerie, with gray ash covering all the shoes on display… as if it was gonna open back up any day). Folks were very dignified and all were quiet and respectful. Yup, I miss Muff and so many more. And getting on a UNITED flight was bizarre, as the pilot thanked us for trusting them and flying UNITED since two of the planes that were crashed on 9-11 were UNITED. EMOTIONAL. And on the return trip, I was upstairs in a 747, first row behind the cockpit. There had not yet been security doors. Flight attendant Carol, came by to the four of us in that front row, and asked, “Are you able and willing to protect the cockpit if there is a problem?” WOW, what a difference from “Would you like some coffee, tea or orange juice!” REALITY set in again. and again, and again….
talk to ya later, dr g

in July I was sitting in Montrouge area of Paris. So much to think about, so much to see, and where to start?
Do you DISCONNECT to sort yourself out? We have to have time for ourselves. I literally go to Paris now to think, not to be a tourist. DISTANCE helps sometimes.
